Greenwood is located a short twelve miles south of Fort Smith and is just 15 minutes from I-40. The city also lies at the intersection of Highways 71 and 10, making it both easily accessible and commuter friendly. The combination of a small-town atmosphere and access to big-city convenience has allowed Greenwood to become one of Arkansas’ fastest growing communities.
Though relatively small, Greenwood has one of the finest school systems in the state. Not only do Greenwood schools rank high academically, they also have a top-notch athletics program that has brought home the state championship on more than one occasion.
