Where real-life dreams meet real-life experience ~ UA Fort Smith slogan

UA Fort Smith seeks to provide its students with a wealth of opportunities for academic, cultural, and social activities in an atmosphere that focuses on preparing for real life. With more than 50 organizations on campus, including fraternities and sororities, there are many annual traditions and a vast assortment of activities in which to become involved.

Sports at the UA Fort Smith includes NCAA Division II baseball, women’s volleyball, men and women’s basketball, tennis, cross-country and golf. Entertainment and culture on campus offers national tours of Broadway musicals such as Chicago, Rent, and The Producers, as well as the world-renowned Russian Ballet and Boston Pops orchestra.

Students at UA Fort Smith find a variety of educational opportunities including diverse bachelor’s and associate degrees, technical certificates, and certificates of proficiency. Each degree features actual work experiences in the field and a strong connection to the community.

The University offers a wide selection of alternate delivery methods to meet the growing needs of a diverse student population, including email, Web telecourses, evening and weekend courses, interactive video, and distance-education options.

Through internships and other hands-on programs, students gain familiarity with area businesses and corporations, accumulating wisdom and making contacts that serve them throughout their careers.

UA Fort Smith’s campus totals more than 20 major buildings and includes a Campus Plaza, Tower and Campus Green. The Stubblefield Center offers a 3,200-seat venue for concerts, athletics, and feature events.

Nearby to the campus are the Sebastian Commons apartments, which are fully furnished and feature private bedrooms, Internet access, full kitchens, and a limited-access gate.
